About this event

A concert to celebrate the choir’s 40th Anniversary. Cor Eifionydd is one of Wales’s foremost mixed choirs, having won numerous times at the National Eisteddfod. The choir’s repertoire includes classical, contemporary and folk songs. Tonight’s concert features two distinguished soloists:

Steffan Lloyd Owen is a member of the International Opera Studio at Zurich Opera and won the 2025 Paris Opera Competition and the 2025 Josep Palet Competition.

Emyr Lloyd Jones won the 2022 Pendine International Voice of the Future at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. He also received the 2024 Dunraven Young Welsh Singer of the Year award and is currently a Jette Parker Artist at the Royal Ballet and Opera.

  1. From Y Maes (the central square in Criccieth), look for the large white building with a distinctive domed roof — that’s the Memorial Hall.

  2. It’s located directly on the High Street, opposite the shops and near the turning for Lôn Ednyfed.

  3. If arriving by car, you can usually find parking nearby along the High Street on side roads like Lôn Ednyfed,or in the “Pay and Display” car park near the level crossing .

  4. Walking from the seafront? Head up Castle Street toward the High Street, and the Memorial Hall will be on your left once you reach the top.

Tickets for events can be purchased online from Ticketsource or Cash Purchase from 3 shops in Cricieth, Pwllheli and Porthmadog. Cash purchase for tickets for the Festival Lunch and Garden Trail can only be bought at one shop, Newsday in Cricieth
