Gweithiodd Gordon Stewart ym myd cerddoriaeth cadeirlan eglwysig; yn gyntaf ym Manceinion, yna yn Blackburn. Am 30 mlynedd bu\u2019n organydd yn Neuadd y Dref Huddersfield gan chwarae cyngherddau rheolaidd yno ar organ y Tad Willis o 1860. Mae bellach yn Organydd Emeritws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mae wedi cael ei recodrio\u2019n chwarae ar organau yn y DU ac yn Ne Affrica ac wedi chwarae concertos gyda Cherddorfa Ffilharmonig y BBC, Cerddorfa Siambr y Gogledd, Cerddorfa Opera\u2019r Gogledd a Cherddorfa Victoria. Darlledodd yn rheolaidd am 20 mlynedd fel organydd ac arweinydd ar radio a theledu\u2019r BBC, yn bennaf fel cyfarwyddwr cerdd Daily Service, Sunday Half Hour <\/em>ac Songs of Praise<\/em>Mae hefyd wedi dysgu am sawl blwyddyn yng Ngholeg Cerdd Brenhinol y Gogledd a Phrifysgol Caergrawnt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Mae repertoire Gordon yn gynhwysfawr. Mae wedi chwarae cyngherddau ledled y DU, gan gynnwys Cyngherddau Enwogion yng Nghadeirlan Sant Paul, Abaty Westminster, Cadeirlan Westminster a led led Ewrop, yr Unol Daleithiau, De Affrica, Awstralia a Seland Newydd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mae\u2019n gyn-lywydd Cymdeithas Gorfforedig yr Organyddion. Mae wedi derbyn cymrodoriaethau er anrhydedd gan Goleg Brenhinol yr Organyddion, Ysgol Frenhinol Cerddoriaeth Eglwysig ac Urdd y Cerddorion Eglwysig, a doethuriaeth er anrhydedd gan Brifysgol Huddersfield.
